Return adopted pet agreement
We encourage all of our adopters to first seek out assistance with a problem before returning the pet to the shelter.
- Many problems could be due to medical issues. Contact your chosen vet, or choose from our list here
- Many behavioral issues can be addressed through training. YouTube and Google are great free resources to learn from or contact a trainer from our list here
- For cat-related behavioral problems, we highly recommend Jackson Galaxy to better understand your cat’s behavior, properly introduce new cats in the home, and also keep your cat mentally stimulated.
In the event an adoption simply doesn’t work out, we always welcome our pets back. You may bring them back to the shelter during our visiting hours. If possible, please bring your adoption folder with you.
You are also welcome to attempt to rehome the pet on your own; you can find some resources on our Animal Surrender page to help you.
REFUND POLICY
We are unable to offer refunds for the adoption deposit fee. We will, however, offer a voucher for the adoption deposit fee you paid if the pet is returned to us within 2 weeks from the adoption date. The voucher can be used towards any paid services we offer or adoption up to one year from the date the voucher was issued.
