We do not offer wildlife services for Rush County, as we are not equipped, have a legal way to relocate them outside the city limits of Rushville, nor have the permits required for many species. See the following options if you are having trouble with nuisance wildlife or have found injured or orphaned wildlife.
Nuisance Wildlife
Property owners may remove nuisance wildlife on their own and relocate them to another property WITH THE PERMISSION of the property owner.
Live Traps are available to borrow at no cost for Rush County Residents.
Visit the DNR website for more information on handling and preventing nuisance wildlife.
Contact Nuisance Solutions Wildlife Control for removal and repair services by calling 317-902-2470
Contact Blue River Wildlife Removal for removal services 765-541-3096
Injured or Orphaned Wildlife
Visit Indiana DNR for assistance on what to do if you find injured wildlife. The best thing you can do for them is to leave them be; more often than not, humans interfering when they suspect abandonment does more harm than good.
Honey Bee Removal
Citizens of the Hive is a nonprofit that lets residents report swarms and connect with local beekeepers in minutes, free of charge, protecting pollinators and reducing strain on staff and dispatchers. We’re a satellite partner of the California Master Beekeeper Program and part of the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign.
In Rush County, 27 beekeepers are already available to respond. Many collect swarms as a public service and to rebuild colonies after this year’s heavy winter losses
